Summary

In this Engle progeny tobacco litigation proceeding, plaintiff Jerry Weingart (personal representative of the estate of Claire Weingart) alleged R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company, Philip Morris Tobacco Co and Lorillard Tobacco Co of fraudulent concealment of dangers of smoking cigarettes, which led his wife Claire Weingart to get addicted to smoking at an early age. The plaintiff also alleged the company of being liable for manufacturing defective cigarettes, which caused Mrs. Weingart lung cancer and resulted in her death.

The plaintiff was represented by attorney Kenneth Reilly. The defense in this case comprised of Philip Morris Tobacco Co, Lorillard Tobacco Co and R J Reynolds Tobacco Co. Philip Morris Tobacco Co was represented by attorney Kenneth Reilly. Lorillard Tobacco Co was represented by attorney Justus Reid. R J Reynolds was represented by attorney Jonathan Engram.
