In this healthcare malpractice litigation proceeding, plaintiff Tina Luke alleged Lawnwood medical centre and its staff of being negligent in diagnosing her incorrectly for a lethal cancer, when they got the plaintiff’s pathological swab mixed with other patient’s. The plaintiff claimed that she had to go for expensive surgeries, which caused her both, health complications and financial distress.

The plaintiff was represented by attorneys Edward Ricci and John Shipley. The defendant in this case, Lawnwood medical centre was represented by attorneys Karina Haycook and Keith Puya.
