Ryan Gill v. Patrick Moran, Ruden McClosky

In this legal professional responsibility litigation proceeding, plaintiff Ryan Gill alleged Patrick Moran and Ruden McClosky of being professionally negligent and breaching their fiduciary duty for convincing the plaintiff to make risky investments in two funds that were wholly owned subsidiaries of the now defunct law firm Ruden McClosky Smith Schuster & Russell PA, in which Mr.Moran and Mr. McClosky were partners. The plaintiff’s counsel claimed that Mr. Moran did not told the plaintiff of the funds' connection to the law firm nor disclosed that Mr. Moran himself stood to profit from plaintiff’s investments.

The plaintiff was represented by attorneys Jan Atlas and Samantha Haimo. The defendant in this case, Patrick Moran was represented by attorneys Pete DeMahy and James Shaw.
