Trial
03/13/19 – 03/14/19

Summary

A long-running lawsuit filed by a Hong Kong businessman who accuses Sheldon Adelson’s gaming company Las Vegas Sands of failing to sufficiently compensate him for supposed help in gaining access to Macau’s lucrative gambling market is headed for trial in a Nevada state courtroom.

A previous trial in 2013 resulted in a $70 million jury award (which later grew to more than $100 million with interest) for plaintiff Richard Suen. Suen originally sued Las Vegas Sands in 2004, alleging he arranged meetings with key Chinese officials to facilitate Las Vegas Sands’ entry into the country.
