Rebecca Pointer v. USAA Casualty Insurance Company

In this insurance coverage litigation proceeding, plaintiff Rebecca Pointer alleged USAA Casualty Insurance Company of not paying claims to the plaintiff when an automobile accident caused a placental injury to the plaintiff, who was pregnant at that time, which resulted in a premature birth during the second trimester with significant complications. The defendant’s counsel claimed that the premature birth and the complications attached to it were not a result of the car accident.
