JPMorgan Chase v. American Century Co.

In this financial services litigation proceeding, plaintiff American Century brought motion to stay discovery in the lawsuit in which JPMorgan Chase American alleged American Century Cos. of fraud by shortchanging it in an $848 million optioned-share sale to Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce. JPMorgan Chase had claimed that American Century failed to disclose material information regarding the sale and the shares weren’t purchased at their fair market value.

Plaintiff American Century Co was represented by attorneys Andre Bouchard and Randal Hendricks. The defendant in this hearing, JPMorgan Chase was represented by attorney Dane Butswinkas.
