Jewel v. NSA

12/14/12 – 12/14/12

This case involves supposed violations of constitutional rights by the United States government. The NSA and other agencies are implicated in gathering data on citizens, allegedly aided by the telecommunications companies, without prior authorization by the FISC. Plaintiffs assert that the processes used and the gathered data doesn't fall under the TSP nor FISA. Defendants state that the information needed to litigate this claim is excluded because of various privileges and the case needs to be dismissed.
