In this damages case against electric company PacifiCorp, plaintiff property owners seek to recover for losses they say they suffered in the widespread, 2020 "Labor Day Fire" in Oregon. A jury in an earlier case found defendant responsible for the fire because defendant failed to deactivate its power lines during a severe wind storm, causing the lines to ignite. Defendant maintains they had no duty to deactivate the lines.
