Chemplex v. Premier Lab

12/07/09 – 12/09/09

5 day trade secrets jury trial.

Chemplex Industries Inc. alleges Premier Lab Supply used proprietary information to infringe on its one-of-a-kind spooling machine.

A former employee of Chemplex allegedly stole the machine and copied designs for several hours, which Premier then obtained.

The jury found that Chemplex suffered an actual loss of $196,500 from the misappropriation of the spooling machine and the design for the machine, and Premier realized $100,000 in unjust enrichment.
