Brown v. State

CONCLUDED

Oral Argument
05/28/14 – 05/28/14

Summary

In this oral argument before the Delaware Supreme Court, Sandra Dean, the attorney representing appellant Anzara Brown, sought to reverse her client's convictions and sentence. Ms. Dean contended that the lower court abused its discretion by admitting evidence obtained as a result of a traffic stop and subsequent arrest. She further contended that the lower court also abused its discretion by admitting into evidence telephone calls intercepted pursuant to a wiretap. Mr. Brown was arrested on May 31, 2012. He was convicted of possession of marijuana, drug dealing, aggravated possession, carrying a concealed deadly weapon, among other offenses. He was sentenced to two life sentences.
