Trial
04/23/13 – 04/26/13

Summary

In this education negligence litigation proceeding, plaintiff Alise Williams alleged former principal Paul Hopkins and other staff of Grafton High of being negligent in failing to stop the bullying that her 16 year old son Christian Taylor was facing at school, due to which he committed suicide on May 31, 2010. The plaintiff’s counsel claimed that Taylor was depressed because of the constant bullying he faced at the school from a group of students. Christian Taylor was found hanging in his bedroom closet with a dog leash tied around his neck and no suicide note was found at the scene of the incident.
The plaintiff was represented by attorneys Joseph Stellute and Oldrick (Joe) LaBell. The defendants in this case, Paul Hopkins and others were represented by attorneys David Corrigan and M. Scott Fisher.
