DeKalb County Commissioner Stan Watson accused Zarina Ali and Sheneeka Bradsher, whom he met in a bar, of stealing his wallet. Police came to the bar and questioned the women but did not make any arrests. Eventually, Watson found the wallet in his car. Ali and Bradsher filed suit against Watson, alleging slander, battery, and false imprisonment


Verdict for Plaintiff Ali: $25,000 compensatory plus $5,000 punitive damages.

Verdict for Plaintiff Bradsher: $75,000 compensatory plus $5,000 punitive damages.

Attorney fees: $39,000
Litigation expenses: $1,500
