In this bench trial proceeding, plaintiffs City of South Francisco, City of Brisbane, City of El Segundo alleged California State Board of Equalization of invalidly subjecting to tax the defendant’s characterization of transactions where the property sold is shipped to California customers from points out of state and the retailer has a business operation in the plaintiff cities.

The plaintiffs in this case comprised of City of South Francisco, City of Brisbane and city of El Segundo. City of South Francisco was represented by attorney George Trevor.
