Nick Rowley delivers closing arguments that set up a $9.5 million total award at trial over a collision that killed a pedestrian in 2017. The Hamden County, Massachusetts jury awarded $3 million to each of Zoe Rosenthal’s two adult children, in addition to $1 million for Rosenthal’s pain and suffering before her death. The total amount also includes an additional $2.5 million for pre-judgment interest. Attorneys for defendant Charles Davignon, who drove the truck that struck Rosenthal, conceded that he was liable for her death. That left the jury to determine damages in the case.
