In closing arguments of the punitive phase of Dianne Webb’s wrongful death suit against R.J. Reynolds, defense attorney Jeffrey Furr tells jurors that the executives and departments found to have concealed smoking’s dangers are no longer part of the tobacco company. Webb sued the tobacco manufacturer for the cancer death of her father, James Kayce Horner.
