Edward Leonard Says Big Rig Problems Forced Trucker to Stop on Freeway Roadside, as Trial Over Fatal Crash Opens

Edward Leonard tells jurors Jorge Garcia properly stopped on a freeway roadside to check a problem with the big rig truck he was driving. A box truck in which Jose Garcia was a passenger, struck the big rig, killing both men. Jose Garcia's widow is suing Thompson's client, Tri-Modal Distribution Services, the trucking company for whom Jorge Garcia worked, claiming the trucker negligently parked on the roadside.
