The Trial: Jenny Young v. Hyoung Kyoo, a 2016 California state court trial in which plaintiff, an acne patient, developed Stevens-Johnson syndrome that scarred more than 30 percent of her body allegedly as a result of taking Bactrim prescribed for her acne. The plaintiff sued the prescribing physician for negligence.

The Expert: Dr. Mark Needham, an expert in family medicine and primary care medicine, based in Southern California, testifies for the defense concerning warnings physicians give to their patients regarding medicine as well as concluding that Bactrim was appropriate to give to treat the plaintiff for her acne, under the circumstances.
