Todd Benoff says the fact that mesothelioma is so rare shows that asbestos, a fiber that causes mesothelioma is not in talc. Benoff represents Imerys Talc America, a talc supplier to Johnson & Johnson. Tina Herford, who has mesothelioma, is suing both J&J and Imerys, claiming she developed the disease from asbestos in talc products.
