Dr. Jonathan Rosman testifies that Barbara Lourie did not meet published criteria for nicotine addiction because evidence showed she could control of her smoking. Lourie died in 1997 from cancer, after smoking for decades. Her husband, James, sued tobacco manufacturers, claiming her addiction to cigarettes ultimately caused her death.
