Ford’s attorney, Vaughn Crawford, says “real-world” physics and not plaintiff’s “courtroom engineering” proves Rafael Trejo died from a “diving injury” in a Ford Excursion SUV rollover when Trejo’s head struck the vehicle’s roof, prior to the roof being crushed. Trejo’s widow, Teresa Trejo, is suing Ford for $27M, claiming that her husband died because a roof design defect caused the roof to collapse, suffocating him.
