Daniel Kissane tells jurors Lanessa Riobe is responsible for the deaths of Deborah and Eliezer Maldonado Jr. because she struck their car while driving drunk and left it stranded in the middle of the road. A truck, driven by Theorphilus Clark and owned by Kissane’s client, Wayne T. Fellows Inc., subsequently struck the stranded car, killing the Maldonados. Eliezer Maldonado Jr. is suing Clark, Wayne T. Fellows, and trucking agency Peoplease Corporation.
