Michael Mittelmark Argues Brain Bleed, Not Hospital Negligence, Put Patient in Vegetative State

Michael Mittelmark tells jurors Kwai Ling Chan-Leung’s severe brain bleed left her in a persistent vegetative state and that St. Mary’s Medical Center and its staff did all they could under the circumstances. Leung’s guardian is suing the hospital, claiming its lack of working medical equipment left her unable to recover complete consciousness.
