Emily Baker tells jurors Valton Sheffield had quit smoking long enough for nicotine to leave his system before he decided to resume smoking. Sheffield, a smoker for decades, died following bouts with lung cancer. His family is suing Baker’s client, R.J. Reynolds, claiming they caused his nicotine addiction and death by hiding the dangers of cigarettes.
