CVN is a national News Organization providing U.S Legal News for business, technology, entertainment, and more all available on courtroomview.com, video, mobile, and interactive DVD platforms. CVN News services are free to the public, while premium CVN docket, gavel-to-gavel CVN Video, and CVN Training services are provided at additional cost. CVN Video subscriptions provide access to trials, hearings, oral arguments, and other courtroom video that may be streamed over the Internet. You may watch proceedings Live, or On Demand, on your personal computer, depending on your subscription.
Video may also be viewed on DVD-ROM (Computer Only, playable in the CVN Player with synched digital exhibits) or DVD (either format referred to herein as “DVD”). When ordering DVDs, subscribers select proceedings at our website, and receive them on DVD by U.S. mail or Fedex.
Our CVN Video proceedings are designated into two categories, CVN Live “Current Cases” and CVN On Demand “Archive Cases”.
CVN Live Current Cases are proceedings that are Upcoming, In Progress, or Concluded within the last 30 days. These proceedings are available in one or all of these formats: Live, On Demand, on DVD. A CVN Live subscription provides video access to all Current Cases, with premium events available only under a CVN Live Premium subscription.
CVN On Demand Archive Cases are proceedings that Concluded more than 30 days ago, and where the video has undergone a quality assessment, quality improvement where possible, and video chapters are logged for better browsing and navigation. These proceedings are available in these formats: DVD, On Demand. These proceedings are sold in a discount subscription and available through an annual CVN On Demand subscription.
CVN Training also provides additional training video products, such as the CVN Video Training Library, using clips from courtroom video, commentary from experts, and arranged for Trial Advocacy by Stage of Trial and Trial Advocacy subtopics, or Rule of Evidence. CVN Training also provides instructional DVDs and custom video clips for your firm.
You can find the specific details regarding your subscriptions in your order confirmation email, or by clicking on the “My Account” link, located at the top of the pages of the CVN Web site.
We sometimes encourage the use of our service through free trials. Free trials last for 48 hours or as otherwise specifically stated for eligible subscribers. To view the specific details regarding your free trial, if any, click on the “My Account” link located at the top of every CVN website page. Free trials are NOT implied when ordering a subscription, cannot be combined with any other offer, and are only given through specific promo codes. If you have been a previous CVN subscriber, you are not eligible to receive a free trial.
In many instances, free trials require only entering a promo code during sign up for access, and your access ends once your free trial period ends.
In other instances, you must have Internet access and a valid credit card or debit card (“Payment Method”) to redeem a free trial offer.
If your credit card was not captured at sign up, your access will end when your free trial period ends, and you must purchase access separately to continue using CVN.
Upon registering for your free trial where your credit card was captured, your Payment Method will be collected and authorized for up to approximately one month or one year of service depending on the subscription plan you choose. In some instances, your available balance or credit limit may be reduced to reflect the authorization; however, no charges will be made against the Payment Method unless you do not cancel prior to the end of your 48 hour free trial subscription period.
We will begin billing your Payment Method for monthly subscription fees corresponding to your subscription plan plus any applicable tax at the end of your free trial subscription period unless you cancel prior to the end of your free trial. To view the specific details of your subscription plan, including price and end date of your free trial period, visit the “My Account” page. You will not receive a notice from us that your free trial subscription has ended or that your paying subscription has begun. YOU MUST CANCEL PRIOR TO THE END OF YOUR FREE TRIAL TO AVOID CHARGES TO YOUR PAYMENT METHOD. CLICK THE “MY ACCOUNT” LINK AT THE TOP OF ANY CVN WEB PAGE FOR CANCELLATION INSTRUCTIONS. We will continue to bill your Payment Method on a monthly or annual basis for your subscription plan until you cancel. You may cancel your subscription at anytime, subject to any cancellation fees. We offer a number of subscription plans, including special promotional plans or subscriptions with limitations on the number of proceedings viewable. Some of these promotional subscriptions are offered by third parties in conjunction with the provision of their own products and services. We are not responsible for the products and services provided by such third parties. To view the details of your specific subscription plan, click the link for the “My Account” page. We reserve the right to modify, terminate or otherwise amend our offered subscription plans. Unless otherwise stated differently, month or monthly or annual or annually refers to your billing cycle (See “Billing” below).
Your CVN subscription will continue in effect unless and until you cancel your subscription or we terminate it. You must cancel your subscription before it renews in order to avoid billing of the next period’s fees to your Payment Method. We will bill the monthly or annual subscription fee plus any applicable tax to the Payment Method you provide to us during registration (or to a different Payment Method if you change your account information).
You may cancel your subscription to CVN at anytime, subject to any cancellation fees or agreements when you ordered, and cancellation will be effective immediately. WE DO NOT PROVIDE REFUNDS OR CREDITS FOR ANY PARTIAL SUBSCRIPTION PERIODS. To cancel, email email@example.com or click the words “Cancel Subscription” on the “My Account” page and follow the instructions for cancellation under the heading “Cancel Subscription.”
We reserve the right to terminate your account for any or no reason.
